Skin Rejuvenation Resurfacing
Pixel Laser Skin Resurfacing
This innovative laser couples a pixel style pattern of delivery with the safe and effective energy of the erbium laser. Dr. Brenner uses the Pixel™ Laser for fractional skin resurfacing on any area of the body, especially the face, neck, arms and hands. The Pixel™ Laser works exceptionally well to reduce fine lines, acne scarring and sun damaged skin. In general, optimal treatment involves 3 to 6 sessions spaced at 3 to 6 week intervals. However, patients with severe acne scarring may require more.
This new laser technology is based upon the principle of microthermal zones. The laser pulses create tiny holes in the skin, removing the epidermis and upper dermal layers. This then triggers the body’s natural healing process, stimulating the growth of new, healthy skin.
Patients typically experience one to three days of “social downtime.” Usually the skin remains red, but generally intact for the first 24 hours. As the redness subsides, flaking usually starts and is mostly complete by 72 hours after the procedure. Full recovery commonly occurs by about five days after the treatment. Skin looks noticeably better within days following the treatment, and results will steadily improve over the next several months.

At the office of Dr. Brenner, we offer photofacial treatment for skin pigmentation. We deliver this intense pulsed light therapy using Harmony XL advanced fluorescent technology (AFT™). This laser converts an unused spectrum of light and converts it into usable energy with a special filtering system. Additionally, AFT utilizes technology to ensure that each pulse of light distributes uniform density, allowing for repeatable deliver and incredible safety.
A photofacial delivered at Dr. Brenner’s office targets blemishes on the surface of the skin, such as redness, brown spots, large pores, sun damage, broken capillaries and rosacea. Further, it can treat virtually any area of the body and is typically used in areas that have the most sun exposure, such as the hands, arms, shoulders, chest, neck and face.
Cutera Laser Genesis®
The Laser Genesis™ system made by Cutera is an effective, non-invasive laser skin resurfacing technology that serves to stimulate collagen growth in the dermis. It is capable of handling many surface cosmetic issues, including:
- Smooth uneven texture
- Reduce large pores
- Decrease fine wrinkles
- Handle excessive redness & rosacea
Cutera Laser Genesis™ is most commonly used on the face, neck and chest, although it is not limited to these areas.
The Cutera Laser Genesis™ produces a 1064 nanometer wavelength to safely and gently heat the dermis to stimulate collagen growth. This causes the skin to become plump and voluminous, filling in wrinkles. This creates a tighter appearance, reducing pore size and redness.
CO2 Laser resurfacing with the DOT CO2 laser system provides a quick, accurate and low risk method for the treatment of:
